Calming the Waters

In Mark 4, the disciples find themselves in the middle of a life-threatening storm while Jesus is asleep in the boat. In their fear, they ask a question many of us have asked in hard moments: “Do you not care that we are perishing?” In this passage, Jesus responds with questions of his own: “Why are you so afraid? Have you still no faith?” This study explores what our storms reveal about our faith, who Jesus truly is, and how trusting in God’s goodness can bring peace even in a storm.
