One step at a time
We want to help provide a path for believers to become more and more committed followers of Christ. Everyone should be growing in their relationship with Christ, building others up and serving but sometimes we need a little help along the way. At CEFC we have a bunch of ways for you to be doing all of these things and it is our goal to help you find the next step along your path.
Next Steps Class
Whether you’re a new believer, new to CEFC, or simply want to explore how you can grow in your faith, this class provides information on what your next step may be.
Serve
SENT OUT TO SERVE
Loving others, we believe, requires a “two-handed” approach – providing physical bread in one hand and the spiritual Bread of Life in the other. Your obedience and service in Christ’s name, is a light in the darkness and gives glory to our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16), and it is also a great next step to take if you are looking to get more involved. Serving alongside others is one of the best ways to help others while building relationships at the same time.
Life Groups
BUILDING EACH OTHER UP
Life Groups are a great way to build Christ-centered relationships with others in the church. If you are looking for Christian community, this is a great way to get connected. Find your group today!
Membership
When we join together as members of a Christian community, we’re able to combine our gifts and resources to have the greatest impact on reaching others with the message of Jesus Christ.
If you have placed your faith in Christ as your Lord and Savior, and are actively participating in any of our ministries, becoming a member might be the next step for you.
If you would like to start the process of becoming a member, please indicate so on our connect card.

Baptism
Baptism is a clear way of showing that we belong to Jesus and want to follow Him. When someone is baptized, they announce their faith commitment to Jesus Christ by being briefly ‘dunked’ underwater in public. It is a powerful picture of total commitment to Jesus.
It is important to understand that baptism is not a step of spiritual ‘graduation’ that we take when we feel good enough. It is meant to be one of the first steps in the Christian life. Baptism does not make a person a Christian but is a symbol or picture of what has already happened to someone who is a Christian – a visual aid to help us understand and remember what is involved in salvation.

Classes and Bible Studies
Taking a class or being a part of a Bible Study is another great way to be growing in your faith. If you are looking to increase in biblical knowledge and build relationships at the same time, our classes and Bible studies could be your best next step.
