📌 Sermon Title: Hypocrisy in the Church

📖 Text: Galatians 2:11–21

“Hypocrites are the worst”—and perhaps the worst hypocrites are hypocrites in the church. In Galatians 2:11–21, we confront one of the most shocking examples of hypocrisy in the early church: the Apostle Peter. Though Peter believed the gospel of grace, his actions told a different story—excluding Gentile believers out of fear of people’s opinions.

We explore:

- Why hypocrisy is so damaging to the church and the gospel

- How fear caused Peter's behaviors to be out of sync with his beliefs

- How hypocrisy spreads like a sickness and so much be confronted

- Paul's bold, face-to-face confrontation and why it mattered

- How we can combat hypocrisy in others and in ourselves

Ultimately, the cure for hypocrisy isn’t shame—it’s grace. Through the gospel, we’re called to align our behavior with our belief, not to earn approval, but because we’ve been crucified with Christ and now live by faith in Him.

🔍 Key Verse:

“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me...” (Galatians 2:20)
